Claremont Video Services is a personal service specialising in media transfer.

With the many video, photo and audio mediums present, some obscure and defunct, we have assembled all the old recording and playback equipment to enable us to convert all formats to the up to date media of digital.

The business was formed after the proprieter wanted their camcorder tapes converted to DVD and discovered the high 

prices offered for such a service. This prompted him to research into the technicalities and solutions and succesfully 

convert his own vhs-c video tapes.

That was in 2012 and since then we have built up the service to include all the numerous video formats resulting in purchasing all the different equipment required to give high quality video, picture and audio reproduction. Following on we developed techniques and purchased equipment to include Cine Film, Slides and photographs to our portfolio.

We are able to restore damaged or dirty video tapes with surprising results, so if your precious video has been stored in a damp place and looks as though there's a colony of mould inhabiting the video cassette, do not despair we may be able to rescue the video footage. IMPORTANT! If you have a tape showing a fine mould white dust DO NOT BLOW ON IT ! Seal it in a plastic bag and wash your hands afterwards, call for restoration advice.
